Server MoveFebruary 6, 2005, 5:09 pm
Well, we went very close to going over our bandwidth allotment from the old server, so I decided to move to a dedicated box with a different company. Just about everything CMS related (excpept for the demo -- I'll set that up later) is moved at this point, but if you do see anything weird, please let me know. Thanks to everyone for actually making me need the bandwidth. Glad to know the project is growing.

0.7 Released!October 11, 2004, 10:31 pm
Well, almost 3 weeks in the making, but it's here. This release adds html blobs (small chunks of global html separate from content), an image manager to file maintenance and the new admin/install/upgrade look and feel. We've also added a horizontal dhtmlmenu option, a java-based syntax highlighter, and revamped the way languages are handled. There are also many bug fixes that came along with it. Check out the ChangeLog for details.
Bug System Changed (again)October 11, 2004, 7:38 pm
This is the last change. I promise! Bug Genie just wasn't working out. The navigation was a little tricky and it really didn't mold well to how we develop CMS. So, we're back to mantis. We're sorry, but any accounts made on Bug Genie will have to be recreated on mantis. Thanks for your patience!
Wiki Added!October 7, 2004, 1:10 pm
In an effort to try to promote documentation efforts, we've setup a wiki to start the ball rolling. The far-fetched idea is to try to get the community to help write full user documentation that we can include in future releases. If you have the time, energy and want to help, p[ease do. We need all the help we can get! The url is at http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org. Thanks!
Move CompleteSeptember 25, 2004, 6:18 pm
Everything is moved up to the new server. If you see anything strange, please let us know so we can fix it up. I'm sure a link or two isn't changed yet. Thanks!
New Server!September 25, 2004, 8:42 am
Well, we got the new virtual server space yesterday. I'm now in the process of moving everything over piece by piece. If anything is down, it's probably in transit.
There will be a couple of changes with this:
- cmsmadesimple.org/forums will become forum.cmsmadesimle.org
- svn.wishy.org/cms will become svn.cmsmadesimple.org
- trac.wishy.org/trac will become trac.cmsmadesimple.org
0.6.3 Released!
September 22, 2004, 5:40 am
It was brought to my attention this morning that a really bad bug existed where you could login with no password. All users are encouraged to upgrade to 0.6.3 as soon as possible to fix this big. Releases before 0.6 are not affected. Thanks!
0.6.2 Released!September 20, 2004, 8:47 pm
This is mainly a bugfix release, though there were a couple of additions. Traditional and Simplified Chinese translations, a dateformat parameter for the News module and RSS functionality for News were added. We also fixed bugs for certain html entities not surviving a preview and fixed the ability to create forms for content and templates. We also fixed a bug with the 'News' content type and updated the default site for new users to be a little more current.
In other news, my server is flakey, but working. I'm going to hold on as much as I can until we get the new hosting setup. I hope it will be soon.
Thanks for your support!
September 19, 2004, 1:50 pm
My box at home has kicked the bucket, and since it was hosting svn and trac, they are down as well. Not sure how long they will be out yet. I'm waiting on a virtual server that I can move them too, but that could be a week or two. If anyone wants to donate $45 so that I can get it up ASAP, you're more than welcome. :) I'll send out another message when everything is up and working again.
0.6.1 Released!September 15, 2004, 5:26 am
While mainly released for some bugfixes, we've also added a few new features. Take a look at the ChangeLog for details.
0.6 Released!September 1, 2004, 9:07 pm
Well, it's that time again. 0.6 is released, and it's a good one. For one, it feels very stable. The new RC team did a nice job at testing it out and it feels pretty solid. Also, we've added some nice functionality for the more advanced users that we're starting to hear from. Check out the ChangeLog for more information on what was added and changed.
Translators Wanted!September 1, 2004, 2:09 pm
We are looking for people to translate the admin section (and eventually modules) to other languages besides American English. If you are bi(or more than bi)lungul, please let us know! It doesn't take a lot of time, very minimal technical knowledge and much effort to do a translation. Take a look here for more information.
